This is my first flyback experiments. The video shows the first arc I made from a flyback transformer, my 'prototype', then it built into a box, and me frying anything I can find! The flyback is from an old black and white portable television. Im hoping to find a better flyback soon, and build a better driver circit. Enjoy!

A "black box" high voltage flyback driver. 12 volts in, 20,000 out. Runs on a 5AH sealed lead acid battery.
I found the (very simple) schematic at Sam Barros' Powerlabs: www.powerlabs.org

this is how to make the flyback circuit as previously posted this shows how to make and the self reonation of the circuit. this is good and simple to make

DISCLAIMER: Do not mess with this stuff unless you know what you are doing. That being said, this is just a tutorial on my recent changing out of the flyback transformer on my UMK3 arcade monitor.

Tests and experiments on using a compact fluorescent lamp as a driver for flyback transformer.
The original is on INSTUCTABLES.COM by biotele, but this adds more information

This is my recently build ZVS flyback driver. I'm running it at only 150 watts because the flyback can't take very much power, at higher power it will become very warm in seconds. The driver itself works great, the components stay cool, even when driven at higher powers.

This is second test of ZVS fly-back driver on 40kV fly-back. Comming with small english description /with my bad english :D/. See entire video for nice arcs,

this is my super cool super easy flyback driver i built ' not designed' its automatically tunes to resonace and is really cheap and easy to build i suggest that everyone atlest give it a go
Old flyback using the basic resonant driver, draws 1amp at 35v.
The driver is described here:
http://www.powerl abs.org/flybackdrive r.htm
but at 35v I use 10Khom for R1, and, if you make this driver make sure you have a heatsink on the transistor.
